Room layout and details for The King's GalleryThe King's Gallery takes its name from a visit by King James I to the Hall in 1607. It is recorded that the Company made a window in the Gallery wall to enable the King, who was being entertained there, to observe the banquet below in the Great Hall. This charming space, lined with interesting paintings, mirrors and decorative features, inspires conviviality and is the ideal place to start the evening's proceedings.
